artist and musician

Georgia artist Lillie Morris works primarily in mixed media collage, enjoying the creative freedom it allows. Her artwork is included in many private and corporate collections and has been shown in exhibitions throughout the Southeast as well as during Writers’ Week in Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland.

Her intense interest in Ireland has taken her there numerous times, especially to Listowel, which she considers her Irish "hometown." She has enjoyed two residencies at Cill Rialaig Artist Retreat near Ballingskelligs, Co. Kerry. (2006, 2009)

In addition to her artwork, Lillie enjoys playing traditional Irish music. Her classical training on the violin, which began in her childhood, equipped her to embrace the Irish fiddling tradition when the music captured her heart in the late 1990s. Since that time she has studied with some of today’s most highly regarded Irish fiddlers and performs in the Augusta area. When in Ireland she enjoys playing in sessions with Irish musicians.

Lillie and her husband Bill reside on a farm near Appling, GA. She is represented in Augusta by the Art on Broad Gallery.
